Military Needs Urgent Housing
The military needs 38,000-permanent housing placements. VA Newsletter 2020.
To date, the VA had only built 600 of the total 38,000 housing units, highlighting the severity of the problem. Housing is a distance reality for many military and military families. This is national security concern since the stability and readiness of our military forces are intimately linked to their financial concerns. Financial Security
75.5% of our military personnel, veterans, and military families carry debt. These are the boots on the ground arms of the military who often come from low income or broken families. Joining the military was a means to a better life. Unfortunately, many become unemployed after their tours. Many get divorced while some homeless.
These heroes deserve more than just appreciation for their services. The VETEM Foundation is steadfast in its mission of providing better economic lives for these heroes.
